Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
Voxline is a free, independently developed desktop app for Windows. By downloading or running it, you agree to the following.
What Voxline is
A transparent lyric overlay that reads your currently-playing Spotify track and displays time-synced or plain-text lyrics from LRClib and, optionally, Genius. It is provided free of charge, with no subscription tier, license key, or paid features.
No affiliation
Voxline is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify, Genius, or LRClib. Their names are used only to describe compatibility. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Your responsibilities
- You're responsible for complying with Spotify's, Genius's, and LRClib's own terms of service when you connect through Voxline.
- You won't use Voxline to abuse, scrape at scale, or otherwise overload any third-party service beyond normal personal use.
- You're responsible for keeping any credentials you configure (a personal Spotify or Genius API key, if you choose to use your own) secure.
Shared access
The default Spotify connection uses a shared app registration, limited by Spotify to a small number of accounts. This limit may mean the app doesn't immediately work for everyone. There is no guarantee of availability, capacity, or uptime for this shared registration, and it may be changed, revoked, or limited at any time.
Changes and termination
Features, the shared Spotify connection, and these terms may change at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the update. You can stop using Voxline at any time by simply not running it, no account to delete, nothing further required.
Source
Voxline is closed source. The compiled application is free to download and use for personal purposes; the source code is not distributed and may not be extracted, decompiled, or redistributed.
